Fantich, Kevin and Jennifer Fantich,
Loren Fantich, David Cohen and
James Cohen; treasured and proud
great-grandmother of Harper, Leo,
Noah and Ivy Fantich; dearest and
loved aunt of Donald and Anne
Cohen, David Cooper and the late
Roberta Cooper. Special thoughts are
with her devoted, loving and caring

IRA JACOB DORCHEN, 87, passed
away Sept. 20, 2018, in Washington,
D.C., with his wife Elizabeth at his
side.
Born Aug. 12, 1931, in Detroit, Ira
graduated from Cass Technical High
School and served in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War.
He and his first wife, Nancy (nee
Sherman), moved to Homestead, Fla.,
with their son, Mark (Rebecca) and
daughter, Sherry (dec.) for a period of
years before returning to the Detroit
area.
He will be missed for his humor, his
no-nonsense personality, wisdom of
the ages and the time he invested to
listen to everyone’s tales of sorrow or
glory.
After Nancy’s death, Ira met
Elizabeth; they subsequently married
and lived in Bloomfield Hills for a few
years before moving to Frederick, Md.,
and later to Washington, D.C., where
Ira became a devoted stepfather and
stepgrandfather to Elizabeth’s children,
Martha (Bob) and Tim (Lilo); Martha’s
children, Natalie, Alex and Dan. Ira
was also the loving and very proud
grandfather of Alex (Kelli) and Alii
(Brian) and of great-grandchildren,
Jacob, Jordan, Joey and Victoria.
Ira is also mourned by his brother,
Sam; sister-in-law, Barbara; niece,
Leslie; nephews, Jeffrey and Ronald.
LOUIS “LOU”
FEIGELSON, 82, of Ann
Arbor, died Dec. 5, 2018.
He loved the Boy
Scouts and was very
active, first as a Boy
Scout, then an Eagle
Scout and as a Scout Master. He even
volunteered for state Scouting organi-
zations.
A board member of Beth Israel
Congregation, he was also an active
participant with the Ann Arbor
Orthodox Minyan. Mr. Feigelson was
fondly known as “Minyan Lou” and
also the “Candy Man”. He was a true
family man and he received much
nachas from his wife and his children.
He is survived by his wife of 56
years, Dr. Happy Feigelson; sons and
daughters-in-law, Dan (Sara) Feigelson
of Israel, Aaron (Leslie Landman)
Feigelson of Chicago, Ill., Rabbi Josh
(Natalie Blitt) Feigelson of Skokie, Ill.;
grandchildren, Hadas (Yacov) Gerson,
Yoni Feigelson, Maayan Feigelson,
Tehilla Feigelson, Amichai Feigelson,
Jonah Feigelson, Micah Feigelson,
Toby Feigelson, Ezra Landman-

Mr. Feigelson was the dear brother
and brother-in-law of the late Arthur
Feigelson, the late Marilyn Partovich

of the late Helene Oliva and Rick Oliva.

LOIS KAHN, 91, of Bloomfield Hills,
died Dec. 8, 2018.
Her passion was her family, but she
also adored poetry, music, art, cooking
and animals.
Mrs. Kahn was a flower and jewelry
aficionado and she passed the knowl-
edge on to her grandchildren. She was
fiercely independent, both for her age
and generation, a trait which she also
passed on to her family. Her company
and counsel will be missed by all who
knew her.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Laura and Ted Schwartz;
sons and daughters-in-law, Robert
Kahn, Anthony and Sherelyn Kahn,
Mitchell and Isabel Kahn; brother,
Irving Meisner; grandchildren, Daniel
and Cierra Granger, Jennifer Granger,
Jacob Kahn, Jessica Kahn, Bessie Kahn;
great-grandchildren, Shae, Gianna,
Holland, Trinity; loving nieces, neph-
ews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Kahn was the loving sister and
sister-in-law of the late Rona Leah and
the late Seymour Summers, the late
Aubrey and the late Millie Meisner, the
