We are deeply saddened by the loss of
Barbara Nurenberg, our colleague, mentor and friend.

Barbara was a passionate and visionary leader whose life’s work was dedicated to those
who are most vulnerable. During her many years of leadership, she transformed
JVS from a vocational agency to a comprehensive human services organization
that touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people.

moved the hearts and minds of staff, lay people and community leaders.
We are all better because she was part of our lives.

We offer our heartfelt condolences to her family and friends.

May her legacy of caring and commitment live on through us all.
