ANITA RUBIN, 87, of Southfield, died
Nov. 4, 2018.
She is survived by her son and
daughter-in-law, Michael and Yaffa
Rubin; daughters, Marilyn Rubin,
Deborah Rabotnick; grandchildren,
Jonathan (Jennifer) Rubin, Joshua
(Lisa) Rubin, Jeremy (Rachel) Rubin,
Jenna Rubin, Jamie Rabotnick, Bryan
Rabotnick, Brandon Rabotnick; great-
grandchildren, Michaela Rubin, Teddy
Rubin, Pandora Rubin, Jake Rubin
and Ovadia Tuman, Leo Rubin; sisters
and brother-in-law, Frances Feldman
Brummer, Dr. Myrna Reis and Dr.
Herbert Schuel. She is also survived by
many loving cousins, nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
Anita was the beloved wife of the late
Joseph Rubin; the mother of the late

Harold Rubin; the mother-in-law of the
late Howard Rabotnick; daughter of the
late Abraham and the late Eva Feldman.
Interment took place at the Beth El
Memorial Park Cemetery in Livonia.
Contributions may be made to a charity
of one’s choice. Arrangements by
Dorfman Chapel.

ALFRED SPIEGEL, 89,
of Farmington Hills, died
Nov. 7, 2018.
He is survived by
his wife of 61 years,
Joyce Spiegel; daughters
and son-in-law, Nancy
Finegood, Robin and Rob Nosan,
and Wendy Smith; grandchildren,
Bradley and Shannon Finegood, Sara
and Oren Davidovicz, Isaac Nosan,
James Alan Hirshfeld, Melani Spiegel
and Brian Rosenbloom, and Jeremy
Spiegel and Naitnaphit Limlamai;
great-grandchildren, Elijah, Isaraya and
Atticus Finegood, Noah Davidovicz,
and Hannah and Maya Rosenbloom;
brother-in-law, Stewart Ettinger; many
other loving family members and

friends.
Mr. Spiegel was the cherished father
of the late Bobby Spiegel; the dear
father-in-law of the late Richard Smith;
the proud grandfather of the late Gregg
Finegood; the loving brother of the late
Ruth and the late Gary Schlesinger; the
devoted son of the late Max and the late
Ida Spiegel; the dear brother-in-law of
the late Carol Ettinger.
Interment was at B’nai Israel Memorial
Gardens. Contributions may be made

ADELE W. STALLER, 84,
of Southfield, died Nov. 5,
2018.
Active with Adat
Shalom Synagogue and its
sisterhood, Adele was also
a past president of Beth

Achim Sisterhood, past president of the
Jewish Historical Society and a docent
leading tours of old Jewish Detroit; she
also organized lunch and learn programs
through Adat Shalom Synagogue.
Mrs. Staller taught English to Russian
immigrants and helped them gain their
citizenship. She was also a Detroit Public
School teacher for 39 years. Honored
by the State of Michigan, she was active
with Cancer Thrivers.
She is survived by her daughters and
sons-in-law, Julie and Steven Pentelnik
of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sharon and Naor
Wallach of McMurray, Pa., Mara and
Alan Starr of Oak Park; grandchildren,
Leah and Matthew Letts, Tamar and Joel
Ribnick, Elana Pentelnik, Aaron Wallach,
Daniel Wallach, Ariel Starr, Sarah Starr
and Dayna Starr; great-grandchildren,
Adira, Naomi and Danya Letts, and
Maya and Maytal Ribnick; sister-in-law,
Barbara Weinberg; numerous nieces,
nephews, cousins and all who loved her.
Mrs. Staller was the beloved wife of
the late Avery “Jerry” Staller; dear sister
and sister-in-law of the late David and
the late Evelyn Weinberg, the late Anna
