Jo Strausz Rosen of West Bloomfield is the new executive director
of development for Jewish Senior Life of Michigan. In her profes-
sional career, Rosen has focused in development for more than 18
years: nine years with American Technion Society and nine years
with the American Cancer Society. Since the 1970s, she has pur-
sued the study of Judaism, using it often as inspiration in her art-
work.

of directors, headed
by Liz Kanter Groskind as the orga-
nization’s new board chair. Groskind,
a native of Detroit, who now lives in
Tucson, Ariz., is recognized as a
leader in the Jewish community. In
Detroit, she served as board chair of
JVS; she is also a past president of the
Young Adult division of the Jewish
Federation of Metropolitan Detroit.

CARE House of Oakland County announced
new officers and members of its board of direc-
tors. Among them are Marla Feldman of
Birmingham, board chair, vice president of
