for DIPG and other forms of pediatric
brain cancer.

Ari is a student at Norup Middle

meaningful mitzvah project, he gave
his time to combat food insecurity
in our community by volunteering at
Forgotten Harvest.

Oct. 26, 2018.
Participating in the cer-
emony will be Jeffrey and Gennifer
Thav, and Pete and Erin Karnaros, and
stepbrothers Ian and Ryan Roth. Proud
grandparents are Edward and Helene
Kaplan of Farmington Hills, and
Marlene Thav of West Bloomfield.

Lucas is a student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. His mitz-
vah project includes volunteering as a
machonik (assistant) for the Shoresh
classes at Temple Shir Shalom.

Thomson, son of Jordie
and Greg Thomson, will
lead the congregation in
prayer as he celebrates
his bar mitzvah at
Temple Israel in West
Bloomfield on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018.
He is the loving grandchild of the late
Corrine and Arnold Garvin, and the
late Joanne and Ted Thomson.
Ryan is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School. Among his many
mitzvah projects, he found distribut-
ing food to those in need at Yad Ezra
Kosher Food Pantry in Berkley to be
the most meaningful experience.

argiz Nesimova of West Bloomfield, daughter of Jon Nesimov and
the late Nailya Nesimova, and Ryan Kramer, also of West Bloomfield,
son of Robert Kramer and Starr
Kramer, are to be married.
Nargiz graduated from Oakland
University, double majoring in politi-
cal science and international relations
and received a juris doctor degree from
University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.
She owns her own law practice, Nesimova
Law in Southfield, specializing in real
estate law and criminal defense.
Ryan graduated Lawrence Technological
University with a bachelor’s and a master’s
in mechanical engineering. He is a design
engineer for General Motors.
The wedding will take place in November 2019.
