will be called to the
Torah for her bat
mitzvah on Friday,
Oct. 19, 2018, at
Congregation Shir
Tikvah in Troy. She is
the beloved daughter of Jenifer
Weisman and Herschel Poger and
younger sister of Ryan. Proud
grandparents are Harold Weisman,
and Judith and Leonard Poger. Late
grandmother Lana Weisman will be
remembered.
Reese attends Anderson Middle
School in Berkley. For her mitz-
vah project, she volunteered to
take care of dogs at Doggie In The
Window.

Elena Shalom Selik
from Bloomfield Hills
will be called to the
Torah on Saturday,
Oct. 20, 2018, at Adat
Shalom Synagogue in
Farmington Hills.
Elena is the daughter of Jeff and
Esther Selik, and Aliya Pasik and
Michael White. Sharing in the sim-
chah will be grandparents Suretta
and Alan Must, Terri and Bruce
Selik, Rona and Lawrence Pasik,
and Linda Klein.
Elena attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills and
completed her mitzvah project by
volunteering with ORT at Camp
Hermelin this summer.

tacy and Jeffrey Brodsky of West
Bloomfield and Michele and Rene
Lerer of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.,
are thrilled to announce the upcoming
marriage of their children Tamara Brodsky
and Samuel Lerer.
Tamara received her B.S. from the
University of Michigan, and her M.D. from
Einstein College of Medicine. She is finish-
ing a gastroenterology fellowship at New
York-Presbyterian Queens, while pursuing
an executive M.B.A. through Brandeis
University.
Sam graduated from the University of Pennsylvania’s Jerome Fisher
Program in Management and Technology, where he earned a B.S. in eco-
nomics from the Wharton School and a B.S. in computer science engineering
from the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. He is a vice president
at General Atlantic, a New York-based global growth equity fund.
A November wedding is planned in Detroit. Tamara and Sam reside in
New York.
