As part of his mitzvah experience, Jack participated in two full sessions with PeerCorps Detroit, where he engaged in community-based vol- unteering in the city of Detroit. Asher Seligman Meltzer of Bloomfield Hills will become a bar mitzvah at Franklin Hills Country Club on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018. Participating in the ceremony will be his parents, Melissa and Seth Meltzer, and Asher’s brother Adam. Proud grandparents are Sandra Seligman, Randy and Craig Rubin, and Dr. Bernard and Toni Stern. He is also the grandson of the late Gerald Meltzer. Asher is a student at Cranbrook Middle School for Boys in Bloomfield Hills. His mitzvah project is to provide text books to seventh-graders in Zambia, South Africa.
