Free Fresh Food Pantry and found
this experience to be the most

Oct. 13, 2018, at
Temple Shir Shalom
in West Bloomfield. She will be
joined in celebration by proud par-
ents, Deborah and David Weiss,
and Michael Collins, and siblings
Rachel and Danielle Steinik, and
Yoni, Ari and Ilan Weiss. She is the
loving granddaughter of Avra Weiss
and the late Leslie Weiss, Geraldine
Rickert, and the late Donna Barkey.
Bella is a student at Derby
Middle School in Birmingham.
Her mitzvah project was with
Rewearable, where she helped
provide prom dresses, shoes and
accessories to girls who can’t afford
them.

Harrison Franklin
Dembs, son of
Lindsay and Ryan
Dembs, will chant
from the Torah as he
becomes a bar mitz-
vah at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield on Saturday,
Oct. 13, 2018. He will be joined in
celebration by his brother Dylan
and his proud grandparents Shelley
and David Wainer, Linda Dembs,
and Sandy and Dennis Dembs.
Harrison is a student at Berkshire
Middle School in Birmingham. He
sold bracelets to raise funds for
the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation,
which he found to be the most
meaningful of his many mitzvah
experiences.

Eli is a student at Clifford H.
Smart Middle School in Commerce
Township. For his most meaningful
mitzvah project, he participated in
West Bloomfiled-based Friendship
Circle’s I Can Bike Camp, where he
helped children with special needs
ride bikes at West Bloomfield High
School.

Jack Bradley
Goodman will lead
the congregation in
prayer on the occa-
sion of his bar mitz-
vah at Temple Israel
in West Bloomfield
on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018. He will
be joined in celebration by his
proud parents, Rebecca and Steve
Goodman, and siblings Emma and
Sam. Jack is the loving grandson of
Fay and the late Paul Rosen, Sy and
the late Lilly Goodman.
He attends Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. As part
of his mitzvah experience, Jack
participated in two full sessions
with PeerCorps Detroit, where he
engaged in community-based vol-
unteering in the city of Detroit.

Asher Seligman
Meltzer of Bloomfield
Hills will become a
bar mitzvah at
Franklin Hills
Country Club on
Saturday, Oct. 13,
2018. Participating in the ceremony
will be his parents, Melissa and
Seth Meltzer, and Asher’s brother
Adam. Proud grandparents are
Sandra Seligman, Randy and Craig
Rubin, and Dr. Bernard and Toni
Stern. He is also the grandson of
the late Gerald Meltzer.
Asher is a student at Cranbrook
Middle School for Boys in
Bloomfield Hills. His mitzvah
project is to provide text books to
seventh-graders in Zambia, South
Africa.
