Pony and train rides, bouncers, arts and crafts, magicians, face painting, a
DJ and plenty of food highlighted Temple Israel’s annual Labor Day picnic.
The multigenerational community event drew 2,500 people to the West
Bloomfield synagogue.
During a Brotherhood-hosted blood drive chaired by Mike Mickelson,
M.D., and held through the Red Cross, donors gave 66 pints of blood.
Temple’s Morris and Esther Bittker Fund underwrote the picnic. ■
