Merrick attends Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. He raised funds
for Humble Design in Pontiac, where
he volunteered by helping to furnish
and decorate a home for a family. He
found this experience to be the most
meaningful of his many mitzvah
projects.

son of proud par-

Noah and Zachary. He is the grand-
son of Edi and Irvin Gastman of
Bloomfield Hills, and Barbara and
Lawrence Millman of Commerce
Township.

project was to volunteer and raise
money and awareness for Almost
Home Non-Kill Animal Shelter locat-
ed in Southfield.

He will be joined in
celebration by
proud parents, Kristina and Eric
Raykinstein, and brother Ari. He is
the loving grandchild of Lana
Goryaynova and Alex Orman, the
late Rita Raykinstein and the late
Valery Kourbatov. Eli is the great-
grandchild of Leonard and the late
Matilda Polyak.
Eli is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
For his most meaningful mitzvah
project, he raised $2,500 to help
provide support for a homeless and
abused child in our community.
