Every Friday afternoon, students from the school take their classrooms to the streets to make Judaism accessible to local Jews. They encour- age women to light Shabbat candles and men to put on tefillin. These students have become fondly known as the “Friday Boys” and they con- nect with some 1,500 individuals every week. This year brings added significance as the world marks 50 years since the late Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson, initiated the world- wide Tefillin Campaign, a historic undertaking that took Jewish obser- vance to the streets as well as 30 years since the Rebbe initiated the Jewish Birthday Campaign, which emphasizes the profound potential and significance of every individual. • Heal your leg pain.
