Jeffrey D. Forman, M.D., FACR, a nationally recognized
radiation oncologist who spent 13 years at the Barbara
Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, concluding in 2007, is
returning to become medical director of development,
effective immediately. He will focus on maintaining strong
community and professional relationships, working closely
with Chief Development Officer Katrina Studvent and her
team as well as with Karmanos leadership to develop and
execute major gift strategies and to enhance Karmanos’
charitable giving programs.

Grand Steel Productions Inc., a flat rolled steel service
center and steel distributor in Wixom, announced a recent
change in leadership. Michael Barnett has been appointed
president and chief operating officer. Barnett has overseen
the growth of Grand Steel Products, including the purchase
of an operations building in 2008, purchase and installa-
tion of a slitting line in 2011 and office renovations and
additions in 2014, among other purchases and acquisitions.
He also assisted in the formation of Barnett Industrial
Properties and Grand Steel Transport, where he is a part-
ner.

Farbman Group, a full-service commercial real estate firm,
announced that CEO Andy Farbman was named the win-
ner of a Gold Stevie® Award in the Executive of the Year -
Real Estate category for its 16th Annual American Business
Awards. He also earned a Bronze award in the Lifetime
Achievement Award - Business Services Industries category,
while the firm earned Bronze awards for Management
Team of the Year - Business Products; and Company of the
Year - Real Estate – Large.
