Jeff Daniels, the festival is committed to showing “just great movies,” including classics shown on
the waterfront on a giant inflatable screen. Among the screenings of 200-plus films, events, music,
food and parties will be the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award to Jane Fonda, along with
a screening of her powerful 1977 film Julia. Starring across Vanessa Redgrave in the title role, Fonda
plays writer Lillian Hellman, who is recruited to smuggle funds into Germany to aid the anti-Nazi
movement. Directed by Vienna-born Fred Zinneman, whose parents were killed in the Holocaust.
