Wolok

Rene and Kenneth Wolok of Waterford are thrilled to
announce the birth of their sweet little princess, Larkyn
Rose. Welcoming Larkyn are proud big brothers Landon
and Layton and big sister Jaclyn (Kevin) Weiss. Loving
grandparents are Lori Doggett of Waterford and Steven
Doggett of Commerce. She is the granddaughter of the late
Morrie and the late Rose Wolok. Larkyn’s middle name is in
loving memory of her beautiful grandmother Rose.

Esme Ilde Hodari, surrounded by family and friends, will
lead the congregation in prayer on the occasion of her bat
mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Saturday,
July 14, 2018. She is the loving daughter of Veronique and
Dr. Adolfo Demian Hodari and sister of Micol and Avi.
Sharing in her simchah will be her proud grandparents
Cecile and Rudolf Meier, Alberto Hodari, Nancy Hodari and
Rosita Feuerman. Esme is also the granddaughter of the
Hodari
late George Feuerman
She attends the International School of Lausanne,
Switzerland. For her mitzvah project, Esme worked with
disabled children throughout the school year and will be volunteering at an
orphanage in Cambodia during a future summer.

ylvia Roth turned 100 on May
13, 2018. She was thrilled to
celebrate this amazing mile-
stone at a beautiful brunch with
family and friends. She is the proud
mother of Gary and Terrie Roth,
Susan and Dr. Terry Weingarden,
and Linda Roth; loving grandmoth-
er of Julie Dubin, Kevin and Shelley
Weingarden, Briana Roth, Jesse
Roth, Cory Roth and his partner,
Amy, and Dylan Roth; great-grand-
ma Sylvia to Joshua, Samantha and
Ariana Dubin, Brandon, Avery and
Zachary Weingarden, and Noah Roth. Sylvia likes to play mah jong and watch
football; she loves lamb chops and burgers. •

auren and Andy Blitz of West
Bloomfield are thrilled to
announce the upcoming
marriage of their daughter Jillian
Rose to Nicholas Lynn Porterfield,
son of Christy Porterfield and Jeff
Porterfield of Clinton, Mich.
Jillian is the granddaughter of
Elinor and the late Morton Trotsky,
and Mary and the late Louis Blitz.
She has a B.A. in elementary educa-
tion from Michigan State University
and earned her M.A. in curriculum
and instruction in reading and writ-
ing from the University of Colorado-Denver. Jillian is a fourth-grade teacher in
Denver, Colo.
Nick is the grandson of Joyce and Ed Piatt, and Shirley and Dale Porterfield.
He has a B.A. in international relations from Michigan State University and
earned his M.A. in teaching in diverse contexts from the University of Colorado-
Denver. Nick is a third-grade teacher in Denver.
The couple reside in Denver. A July wedding is being planned in Detroit. •
