Jerry was born in Detroit, son of Ruth and Sam Acker. He attended Mumford High School and graduated from Wayne State University with a degree in accounting. He was a member of the Sigma Alpha Mu fraternity. Jerry was an extraordinary man who woke up each day feeling blessed to be a husband, a father and a poppy to his beloved grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ronne; his children, Kevin (Anne Kummer), Lisa (Peter Friedman) and Julie (Scott Sack); his grandchil- dren, Emma, Noah, Miles, Anna, Lucie, Ethan and Sam; his sisters-in-law, Carrie (Roger) Kushner and Cindy (Melvin) Schwartz; and many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
