The Zukerman Trio — featuring revered violinist Pinchas Zukerman, cellist Amanda Forsyth and
pianist Angela Cheng — closes the Chamber Music Society of Detroit season with a program including
Beethoven, Dvorak and Schubert. Born in Israel to Holocaust-survivor parents, Zukerman became a
prodigy since age 8, studied at Juilliard and has just completed his ninth season as principal guest

The JCC Ethan & Gretchen Davidson Music Festival returns to bring its
flavor of indie, folk and rock music — featuring musicians and composers
with Jewish roots — plus food trucks and more to Metro Detroit. This year’s
lineup includes Project Trio, who blends their classical training with eclectic
styles at Go Comedy Improv Theatre in Ferndale (May 24); Grammy-winning
Marc Cohn, who rarely performs and is celebrating the 25th anniversary of
his landmark album containing his hit song “Walking in Memphis” (May 26);
and Uprooted featuring Michael Glabicki, formerly of Rusted Root (May 27).
