Using Passover’s timeless story of slavery and redemption to explore
acceptance and justice and to celebrate the shared dream of freedom
and equality, JCRC/AJC hosted the sixth annual seder for members
of Detroit’s Diplomatic Corps and area interfaith leaders. The evening
was attended by diplomats from Jordan, Japan, Mexico, Germany and
Canada, along with guests from various faith communities.
Rabbi Aaron Starr of Congregation Shaarey Zedek led the seder,
which was co-chaired by JCRC/AJC Vice President Seth Gould and
board member Dr. Noah Stern. The seder provided guests with a global
experience, incorporating various texts and customs representing Jewish
communities across the world. •
