Sandy Selinger has been appointed as the Michigan Israel
Business Accelerator CEO. Sandy is Israeli born and served
in the IDF with his last post as Operations Officer and
Squad Leader for the Rescue and Evacuation Unit. He holds
a B.A. in economics and international affairs from the
University of Colorado and a M.S. in analysis, design and
management information systems from the London School
of Economics.

T. Mamat was recently re-elected as chairman of the
Education Foundation for the American Society of
Employers (ASE), a position he has held since 2006. In addi-

ing exceptional board members. Mamat is an alumnus of
Syracuse University College of Law and is a certified media-
tor and arbitrator and adjunct professor of law at Wayne

Elizabeth Schiff Barash of Southfield will receive the
Community Award for Excellence in Leadership from the
Greater West Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce at the 12th
annual Key to the Township Awards Dinner on May 15.
She will be recognized for her contribution to community
through her dedicated volunteerism for a variety of organi-
zations and professional efforts. Barash is an assistant attor-
ney general for the state of Michigan and is assigned to the
Children and Youth Services Division in Wayne County. Last
November, she was honored with the 2017 Warrior Award
from House of Providence for her tireless devotion advocat-
ing on behalf of Michigan’s foster youth who are victims of
abuse and neglect.
