Birmingham will celebrate
their 60th anniversary May
2, 2018. Charlie, originally from
Vienna, Austria, is a survivor of
the ghetto of Shanghai; Rachel,
originally from Romania, is a
survivor of the camps, including
Auschwitz. Their celebration will
be a surprise weekend spent with
their children, Steven and Bonnie
Growe, Ronald Growe, Michael
Growe, and Marilyn and Marc
Sulkes; three of their five grand-
children; five of their six great-grandchildren; family from New York and
California and friends. •

philosophy and earned his juris doctor degree from Michigan Law.
Ashley and Adam will marry on May 27, 2018, at the Art Museum in Grand
Rapids. They will reside in Ann Arbor. •

Bloomfield recently cel-
ebrated her 90th birthday
with her family at a special
dinner in her honor. She is the
beloved wife of the late Morton,
to whom she was married for 62
years. She organizes many activi-
ties at Hechtman Apartments,
where she resides. Helping her
celebrate this special day were her
children, Sandy and Allen Cohn,
Rick Kasoff, and Stacy and Scott
Burrows; grandchildren, Jenny
and Brian Schwartz, Jason and Erika Cohn, Shaun and Chen Kasoff, Justin
Slotkowski and Zack Slotkowski; and her six great-grandchildren. •
