JCC’s Send A
Kid To Camp
Campaign

Every year, donors make it possible
for more than 120 young people
to experience the joys of summer
camp.
Help JCC Day Camps Powered by
Tamarack deliver recreational and
educational experiences to those in
our community without the finan-
cial means to make it fully possible.
“The Send a Kid to Camp cam-
paign enables us to extend the
amazing experience of JCC Day
Camps to families in our communi-
ties who wouldn’t otherwise be able
to afford it,” says Randy Comensky,
JCC Day Camps director. “Thanks to
the support of community grants,
our major sponsors, family endow-
ments and hundreds of donations
from the entire Jewish community,
we can make summer camp a reality
for them again this year.”
A parent in a single-income family
who has two children who attend
JCC summer camp says, “The sum-
mertime friendships, camaraderie
and activities of camp contribute

something incredibly valuable to our
children’s growth. The camp experi-
ence has become a vital part of their
development, and so we now see it
as essential.
“Initially, the costs made camp
appear to be a luxury, something
out-of-reach. But we are able to
participate, and we know this is
because of the generosity of the JCC
scholarship program and the kind
support of the Jewish community
that understands both the value of
camp and today’s financial realities.”
The JCC’s Kids All Together pro-
gram allows children with special
needs to be fully included in camp,
with support as needed. Donate at

kid-to-camp. •
