FLORENCE SHARE (nee Schurgin),
96, of Bloomfield, died April 7, 2018.
She was the owner, with her brother,
the late Arthur Schurgin, of the Horn
of Plenty in Birmingham for more
than 40 years. She will be greatly
missed.
She will be remembered for her love
of life, for never having met a stranger
and for her many wonderful mala-
props.
Mrs. Share is survived by her chil-
dren, Paul Share and Bonny Hart of
New York, N.Y., Walter Share and June
Piggott of Seattle, Wash., Donald Share
and Marjorie Newman, also of Seattle;
grandchildren, James Share, Laura
Share Kalin and Ron Kalin, Kenneth
Kalin; a wide circle of friends and
other family.
Mrs. Share was the beloved wife
( from 1946 until his death in 1999) of
the late Leslie Share, her childhood
neighbor. She was the loving sister of
the late David Schurgin.
A celebration of her life is planned

HERBERT “HERBIE”
SILVER, 71, of West
Bloomfield, died April
9, 2018.
He was a proud
veteran, who bravely
served his country
during the Vietnam
Silver
War.
Upon his return
from the Army, he
joined the Detroit Fire
Department, where he dedicated 26
years and valiantly rose to the rank of
lieutenant. During this time, he was
also the owner and operator of Herb’s
Bump and Paint, where he came to be
known as “The Saint of Paint.”
Mr. Silver was a renowned story and
joke teller whose goal was to always
keep people laughing and smiling. He
was a car and motorcycle enthusiast
who often rode his prized Harley with
the Axemen and Chai Riders. He was
a great appreciator of music who took
up drum lessons in his late 60s.
Mr. Silver was a loyal and devoted
friend who maintained relationships
with people he knew all the way back
to his childhood. He loved to throw
parties and will always be remem-
bered for his legendary BBQ skills.
Mr. Silver is survived by his loving
daughters and son-in-law, Juli and
Michael Dressler, and Missy Silver; his
cherished and treasured grandson,
Jasper James Wolf; brother and sister-
in-law, Alan and Rosalind Silver; sister,
Rhoda Ruby; sister-in-law, Myra Silver;
many nieces and nephews.
He was the devoted and beloved
husband of the late Judith (Gold)
Silver; brother of the late Harold
Silver.
Interment took place at Adat
Shalom Memorial Park. Contributions
