Israel At 70

The Zionist Organization of America-
Michigan Region invites the com-
munity to celebrate Israel’s 70th anni-
versary and the relocation of the U.S.
Embassy to Jerusalem. The program,
which begins at 7 p.m. Sunday, April
15, at Adat Shalom Synagogue, will
include delicious Israeli wine, a great
speaker and an interesting film.

Dan Pollak, ZOA director of gov-
ernment relations, will speak on
“The Challenges Israel Faces At 70.”
There will be a special film presenta-
tion of Europe’s Jewish Exodus, which
examines the wake of anti-Semitism
in Europe that has sparked an exo-
dus of Jewish people from the conti-
nent. Some Jewish leaders maintain
that there is no longer a future for
Jews in Europe. This film showcases
what may be in store for European
Jews.
Adat Shalom is located at 29901
Middlebelt Road in Farmington
Hills. Buy tickets, $8 in advance/$10
at the door, at mizoa.org. For more
information, contact (248) 661-6000
