soul of blessed memory GERALD “JERRY” AGRANOVE, 88, died March 25, 2018. He will always be remembered for his love of golf, bowling, poker and travel. In good seasons and Agranove bad, his devotion to the Tigers, Red Wings, Lions and the Wolverines never wavered. His sweet sense of humor and stories will forever hold a special place in the family’s hearts. Mr. Agranove is survived by his lov- ing partner of 23 years, Judie LaBret; daughters and sons-in-law, Debbi and Gordon Krass, Judy and Harold Friedman, John and Tracy Agranove; grandchildren, Jeremy (Cristina) Krass, Aaron (Katie) Krass, Lauren (Tom Coleman) Friedman, Sarah Friedman ( fiancé, Patrick Hamilton), Jacob and Stuart Agranove; great-grandchildren, Evan and Miles Krass. He was the lov- ing “Uncle Jerry” to many nieces and nephews, and a kind and devoted friend to many. He was the beloved husband of the late Marilyn (Ledbetter) Agranove; son of the late Nathan and the late Mae Agranove; brother of the late Irene Landsman, the late Mildred Wolfe and the late Phyllis Miller. Bernhardt JACQUELINE BERNHARDT, 94, of West Bloomfield, died March 19, 2018. A founding member of Temple Israel, Mrs. Bernhardt became a well-known model for Saks Fifth Avenue. She went on to become a dog groom- er for the stars’ pets, including those of Diana Ross and Shelley Berman. She also worked backstage at the Fisher Theatre, taking care of the celebri- ties’ dogs and was instrumental in the Thanksgiving Day Parade with the dye- ing of the poodles. She brought her bigger-than-life spirit to Detroit and was a classy, flamboyant and cool lady. Mrs. Bernhardt is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Ric Bernhardt of West Bloomfield, Greg and Jodi Bernhardt of New York, N.Y.; grand- children, Justine Bernhardt and fiance, Chris Hill, Hunter Michael Bernhardt; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Having grown up in Detroit, Dr. Greenbert was proud to have fought in the army in Greenbert Italy during WWII. He was the first of three generations to graduate from the University of Michigan. He also was part of U-M’s first dental school graduating class after WWII. Dr. Greenbert began practicing dentistry in 1950 and that became the foundation for a second- generation office. He loved golf, bridge, reading, creat- ing paintings and wood sculptures, and spending time with his family.
