Ashley and Jonathan Sherman of Beverly Hills are
excited to announce the birth of their son, Jacob
Brady (Noach Kochav). Jacob is the first grandson
of Fanny and Jeffrey Sherman of West Bloomfield,
and Nichole and Dick Callaway of Arizona. He is the
great-grandson of Edward Sherman of Bloomfield
Hills, and Sara Pancer of Colombia, South America.
Jacob’s Hebrew names are in honor of his late great-
grandfather Noel Pancer and late great-grandmoth-
er Esther Sherman; his middle name is in honor of
his late great-grandmother Bonnie Saunders.

Shanyn Haeley Rogers (Sara Hadara) will be called to
the Torah on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Temple Emanu-
El in Oak Park. Shanyn is the daughter of Glenn and Lisa
(Compton) Rogers and the sister of Reilly. Grandparents are
William and Fern “Cookie” Compton, and the late William
and Maria Rogers. Great-grandparents are the late Hyman
and Charlotte Shebowich.
Shanyn is a seventh-grade student at John Page Middle
School in Madison Heights. For her mitzvah project, she is
volunteering at Yad Ezra in Berkley.

of Southfield and
Delray Beach, Fla., cel-
ebrated 70 years of marriage
on March 13. They met at a
mutual friend’s wedding and
have been inseparable ever
since. They have two daugh-
ters: Ellen and Andria (Mark
Weiss). A celebration for their
anniversary will take place
in Delray Beach with their
children. Their grandchildren, Kevin and Amy Weiss, Kim Weiss, Scott Weiss
and fiancée, Elyse Wartel, and great-grandchildren, Eliana, Sam and Gwen
Weiss, will celebrate with Nana and Papa in May. •

in Cleveland, Ohio, and have been
