Ballin 100th
F
lorence Ballin of Bloomfield
Hills turned 100 on March
14, 2018. She was born
and grew up in Detroit, attend-
ing Northern High School. She
served in the Red Cross during
WWII in France. After the war,
she was executive secretary at
Helm Industries, the company
that made the plastic hood orna-
ments for cars in the 1950s. With
this experience, she started two
of her own companies that were
extremely popular, LaCuisinere
in the Continental Market in
Birmingham and the jeans store Bizarre in Oakland Mall. Flo is a patron of
the DIA and is very fond of opera. Her many friends and family members
wish her happiness and contentment celebrating this well-lived, long life. •
Kreisman 95th
S
arah Kreisman turned 95 on
March 3, 2018. She was born
in Czechoslovakia and is a
Holocaust survivor. Sarah was
a cook at Borman Hall for more
than 30 years. She has two daugh-
ters and a grandson. Sarah stays
active by volunteering, playing
bingo and Wii bowling and being
involved in many other events
at Fleishman Residence in West
Bloomfield. •

inda and Howard Goldman
of West Bloomfield and
Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.,
are delighted to announce the
engagement of their son Bradley
Goldman to his bashert, Alicia
Mendelson, the daughter of
Susan and Coby Goutkovitch of
Farmington Hills, and David and
Wendy Mendelson of Bloomfield
Hills.
Alicia is the granddaughter
of Carole Master of Huntington
Woods, the late Eli Master, and
the late Adrienne and Alan
Mendelson.
Bradley is the grandson of the
late Ruthe and Sidney Wolfe, and the late Tillie and Robert Goldman.
An August wedding is planned is planned in West Bloomfield. •
