FRUITMAN, 86,
died in Los Angeles,
Calif., Jan. 23, 2018,
after an illness.
Formerly of
Millersville, Pa.,
he was married to
Susan H. Komsky.
His first wife, the
late Sandra (Selfon)
Fruitman, died in
1998.
The son of the late Abraham and
Helen (Davis) Fruitman, Marty was
born May 13, 1931, in Detroit and
raised in Flint.
After earning an engineer-
ing degree from the University of
Michigan, he moved to Lancaster,
Pa., and worked as an electrical
engineer for many years: first at RCA
and later at Brookhaven National
Laboratory on Long Island, N.Y. At
the age of 40, he returned to school
to earn a law degree from William
& Mary and was a practicing patent
attorney in Millersville, Pa., until
2008 and in Valencia, Calif., until
retirement. Marty was also a U.S.
Army veteran.
He was smart, funny and an enthu-
siastic problem solver. He could fix
any kind of mechanical device and
was a wonderful storyteller. He loved
and was loved by his family and
friends. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Fruitman was the beloved
father of Sheva Fruitman and Claire
Fruitman (Brian Bram); grandfather
of Griffin Bram; brother of Barbara
Elman and Marilynn Jones. He also
leaves behind many cousins, nieces
and nephews.

Woodhaven; sister, Muriel Myers;

Sean and Ilana Elliot; great-grand-
children, Tamar, Emuna, Tzophia.
Mrs. Littman was the dear sister-
in-law of the late Calvin Myers.
