Fruitman

MARTIN
FRUITMAN, 86,
died in Los Angeles,
Calif., Jan. 23, 2018,
after an illness.
Formerly of
Millersville, Pa.,
he was married to
Susan H. Komsky.
His first wife, the
late Sandra (Selfon)
Fruitman, died in

1998.
The son of the late Abraham and
Helen (Davis) Fruitman, Marty was
born May 13, 1931, in Detroit and
raised in Flint.
After earning an engineer-
ing degree from the University of
Michigan, he moved to Lancaster,
Pa., and worked as an electrical
engineer for many years: first at RCA
and later at Brookhaven National
Laboratory on Long Island, N.Y. At
the age of 40, he returned to school
to earn a law degree from William
& Mary and was a practicing patent
attorney in Millersville, Pa., until
2008 and in Valencia, Calif., until
retirement. Marty was also a U.S.
Army veteran.
He was smart, funny and an enthu-
siastic problem solver. He could fix
any kind of mechanical device and
was a wonderful storyteller. He loved
and was loved by his family and
friends. He will be greatly missed.
Mr. Fruitman was the beloved
father of Sheva Fruitman and Claire
Fruitman (Brian Bram); grandfather
of Griffin Bram; brother of Barbara
Elman and Marilynn Jones. He also
leaves behind many cousins, nieces
and nephews.

died Feb. 19, 2018.
She is survived by her daughter,
Beth Ann Garfield; sister, Barbara

80, of West

She worked

Shaarey Zedek for
18 years.

survived by her son,
David Hoptman of
California; daugh-
ter and son-in-law, Lisa and Greg
Baron of Florida; sister, Shirlee
Snider Marshall of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, Alyssa Baron, Blake
Baron; many loving nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Hoptman was the loving
daughter of the late Ethel and the
late Isadore Greenberg; dear sister of
the late Helen Greenberg.

Interment was held at Hebrew
Memorial Park. Arrangements by

DOLORES LITTMAN, 83, of
Southfield, died Feb. 19, 2018.
She is survived by her husband,
Walter Littman; son and daughter-
in-law, Marc and Shelley Littman
of Oak Park; daughter and son-
in-law, Lisa and Jeffrey Attard of
Woodhaven; sister, Muriel Myers;
sisters-in-law, Sylvia Schultz, Marian
Littman, Rena Littman; grandchil-
dren, Samantha, Caitlin, Benjamin,
Sean and Ilana Elliot; great-grand-
children, Tamar, Emuna, Tzophia.
Mrs. Littman was the dear sister-
in-law of the late Calvin Myers.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one’s choice. Interment
was held at Adat Shalom Memorial
Park in Livonia. Arrangements by
Hebrew Memorial Chapel.

KIM MANELI, 52, of Royal Oak, died
Feb. 20, 2018.
She is survived by her mother,
Darlene Maneli; sister, Susan Maneli;
brother, Kerry Maneli; many loving
cousins and friends.
Ms. Maneli was the devoted
daughter of the late Bernard Maneli.
Interment was at Machpelah
