at 12:00 am Jewish Apartments & Services, Inc. will no
longer be accepting rental applications for housing for JAS
/LJO[THU05VU7YVÄ[*VYWVYH[PVUKIH/LJO[THU01L^PZO
Apartments and will close its’ waiting list for
all unit types.

There are currently over 175 applicants on the waiting list
and the wait to receive housing is
approximately 3-5 years, which is much longer than the
recommended wait time.

Brannan

There is no scheduled date to re-open the waiting list at
this time. When Jewish Apartments & Services is prepared
to re-open the Hechtman I Jewish Apartments waitlist,
a public notice will be issued to give proper notice to
interested applicants.

Applicants already on the waiting list do not need to take
any action. Jewish Apartments & Services will maintain their
application spot on the waiting list. However, applicants are
still required to update their contact information with
Hechtman I Jewish Apartments.

Jessica (Hoffman) and Chris Brannan of Troy, are excited
to announce the birth of their son, Zachary Ryan (Zev
Reuven). Big brother, Justin, is thrilled to have a playmate
and partner in crime. Sharing in their joy are mater-
nal grandparents Marilyn and Peter Jacobson of West
Bloomfield, and Debbie and Bob Brannan of Clermont, Fla.
Zach is named in loving memory of his maternal great-
grandmother Rella Fridman, maternal grandfather Ron
Hoffman, and great-grandfather William Hoffman.

proud parents are Kimberley and
Paul, and her loving brother is
Zachary. Grandparents are Sam and
Nola Davis, and the late Albert and
Sima Bernzweig.
Sophia is a sixth-grader at Norup
International School in Oak Park.
She takes pride in assisting at Yad
Ezra in Berkley.

heryl and Edward Tunick of
Farmington Hills will be cel-
ebrating their 50th wedding
anniversary on Feb. 18 surrounded
by family and friends. Together,
Cheryl and Ed have raised four
daughters, Barbra (Kevin) Giles,
Lori Tunick, Michelle (Scott)
Mirkes and Jamie (Bryan) Smant.
They enjoy spending time with
their grandchildren, Seth and
Ryan, and Simon and Samantha
Mirkes. •

Jessica is also the loving grandchild
of the late Maurice Otis.
She is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
Among her many mitzvah projects,
Jessica is most proud of raising
funds to help the hurricane victims
in South Florida.

and sister Rebekah. He is the grand-
child of Barbara and James
Weiskopf, and the late Murray and
Yetta Miller.
Aaron attends Hillside Middle
School in Northville. As part of his
most meaningful mitzvah experi-
ence, he will collect non-perish-
able supplies for Northville Civic
Concern, help sort and shelve the
items as well as donate a portion of
his bar mitzvah gifts.
