“Who finds a faithful friend
finds a treasure.”

(proverb)

In loving memory of Eugene Applebaum

We were never strangers. From the moment we first met, we
became lifelong friends. We understood each other’s interests,
we talked endlessly about geopolitics, Zionism, Judaism, and
the importance of family, culture and philanthropy. He was my
confidante and inspiration. The keenness of the sense of loss
is mitigated by the enduring legacy he leaves for us to remember
and treasure: the magnanimity of his many accomplishments:
first and foremost a loving husband and adoring father, a giant
in the world of business, a visionary philanthropist and civic
leader. He never lost courage in the face of adversity, he stood
fast in his beliefs, he was a faithful friend to many and he will be
sorely missed.

My heart goes out to his beloved wife Marcia, who was the love
of his life, and daughters Lisa and Pam.
Spencer Partrich

May the precious and cherished soul of Eugene Applebaum be bound up in the bond of life eternal.
