In Memory of
Eugene “Gene” Applebaum

The Board of Directors, Musicians, and Staff of the Detroit Symphony
Orchestra fondly remember Eugene “Gene” Applebaum. He was a
champion of the DSO, of Detroit, and of the greater role that the arts
play in enhancing the quality of life of all those around us.

Along with his wife Marcia, Gene consistently and passionately supported
the mission of the DSO since 1980. We are grateful for his steadfast
leadership over the years, and the entire DSO family sends our loving
support to Marcia, daughters Pamela and Lisa, and all those whose lives
were changed because of Gene’s dedicated service.

We celebrate the life of Gene Applebaum. May his memory be a blessing.
