Steinberg Mr. Steinberg was drafted in 1941 before Pearl Harbor and served during the Utah Beach-Normandy invasion on D-Day and at the Battle of the Bulge as a major. He was awarded the Bronze Star and six Battle Stars. He and his brother, Gerry Steinberg, owned Abso-Clean Chemical Company in Detroit for more than 40 years. He was an avid golfer and member of Tam- O-Shanter Country Club for more than 40 years. He was a big fan of University of Michigan sports. Mr. Steinberg is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Barry Wiener; son and daughter-in- law, David and Joyce Steinberg; grand- children, Stephanie Steinberg and her fiance, Jake Serwer, and Lindsay Steinberg; sister and brother-in-law, Muriel Wetsman-Brooks and Elihu Brooks; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. He was the beloved husband of the late Shirley Ruth Steinberg and the late Shirley Lewis Steinberg; the loving brother of the late Gerald and the late Phyllis Steinberg; the dear brother-in- law of the late William Wetsman; the devoted son of the late Julius and the late Belle Steinberg.
