is the daughter of
Amy Greenberg, Jay
Greenberg
and Erica Greenberg
and sister of Audra. Micayla is the
granddaughter of Gail and Irwin
Lorber, Franklin and Lois Greenberg,
Janet Woronoff and the late Norman
Woronoff.
Micayla is a seventh-grader at
Birmingham Covington School. Her
love of animals is the basis of her
most meaningful mitzvah project.
Over the past two years, she has made
homemade dog treats and toys and
has collected hundreds of towels that
have been donated to various rescues.
Micayla also volunteers at a local shel-
ter, where she walks the dogs, plays
with and feeds the animals, does laun-
dry and cleans cages.

Saturday, Dec. 9. He
is the loving grandchild of Marcia and
the late Isadore King.
Joshua is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
Among his many mitzvah experiences,
he found volunteering at Yad Ezra in
Berkley packaging food for those in
need in the Jewish community to be
the most meaningful.

Lorraine Lerner of West Bloomfield,
and Rosalia and Horacio Schlaen of
Hollywood, Fla. Benny is also the
grandson of the late Dr. Leonard H.
Lerner.
Benny is a student at Hillel Day
School of Metropolitan Detroit in
Farmington Hills. Among his mitz-
vah projects, his most rewarding has
been volunteering with PeerCorps
Detroit.

Ashley is the loving daughter of Jodi
and Michael Tauber. Her proud grand-
parents are Joyce and Jerry Tauber,

dent at Warner Middle School in
Farmington Hills. As part of her mitz-
vah experiences, she enjoyed working
with children at Franklin Athletic Club
in Southfield.

ebration by his proud parents, Julie
and Daniel Yaker, and siblings
Alexandra and Levi. He is the grand-
child of Nancy and the late Larry
Kushkin, and Elaine and Barry Yaker.
Noah is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. For
his most meaningful mitzvah project,
he took part in Design My Room, a
Wish Upon a Teen program for teen-
agers facing extended hospitaliza-
tion. He raised funds for this special
organization by running the Turkey
Trot and hosting a special screening of
the movie Wonder. Noah will be using
tzedakah to personally decorate the
hospital rooms.
We would like to express our deep appreciation for the

Shaarey Zedek Synagogue family and the Bradco Company
during Shirley’s recent illness. It was a difficult time
and we are so grateful you were there for us.
