Cyberoptix Tie Lab

These aren’t your father’s neckties! Cyberoptix Tie Lab has been in operation since 2005
and, lucky for us Detroiters, they’ve recently launched a brick-and-mortar (Well Done Goods)
in Midtown Detroit, too. The Etsy boutique features dozens of uniquely printed ties, scarves
and pashminas. They offer kids’ neckties, too, perfect for your bar mitzvah boy. Among
their most popular items are the baseball necktie and the eye-chart linen-weave pashmina.
However, if none of their selections seem just right for you, they invite you to join in the
design process. Choose from thousands of color combinations and design a necktie that’s

Elissa Sharin Designs

Elissa Sharin has been getting artsy for years, but now this former graphic designer
is embellishing all kinds of items with her adorable doodles. Her shop carries make-
up cases, piggy banks, clipboards, chalkboards and mugs, among many other items.
Sharin custom decorates all of these with her easy-to-love, hand-painted graphics
(think cupcakes, emojis, ballet slippers, rainbows and peace signs). Turnaround time
is about 1-2 weeks, but she’s happy to rush orders, too. Our absolute favorite was the
pink Caboodle decorated in splashy colors with our name, kissy emojis and puppy

The Foggy Dog

Even Fido needs some Chanukah love. Gift man’s best friend with a custom bed by San
Francisco-based the Foggy Dog. Dog beds, scarves, leashes, toys and more, feature boho, whim-
sical printed textiles sure to get barks of appreciation. Each item is handcrafted and made with
heavy-duty materials and thread to withstand scratching — the bed covers are made without any
zippers so your pet won’t be able to chew on those either. Beds can be custom-made to cover an
existing bed, inserts can be purchased or you can stuff the cover with old blankets and sheets.

spoon and won’t cost you any calories? Yes, please! These creamy confections
come in flavors like strawberry shortcake, gingerbread, blackberry jam and rasp-
berry lemonade. Most products are vegan and they’re all suitable for vegetarians,
plus they’re never tested on animals. Our personal favorite was the scrumptious
bath macarons, but kids will likely go crazy for the glittery unicorn poop bath
