META ROTA, 81, of Oak Park, died Nov,
17, 2017.
She is survived by her daughter and
son-in-law, Sheila and Eric Weissman
of West Bloomfield; sisters, Sharon
Murphy, Evelyn Forstadt; grandson,
Seth Weissman.
Mrs. Rota was the beloved wife of the
late Samuel Siegel and the late Ernest
Rota; loving daughter of the late Tzvi
and the late Tzvia Siegel; dear sister-in-
law of the late Jack Forstadt.

LEONARD SIEGAL, 93,
of Farmington Hills, died
Nov. 22, 2017.
Born in Detroit in
1924, Leonard graduat-
ed Cass Technical High
School and was immedi-
ately drafted to fight in
Siegal
WW II. He served as an
artillery reconnaissance
officer and was awarded
the Bronze Star during the Battle of the
Bulge.
He graduated with honors from
the University of Michigan College of

Architecture, which began his 65-year
architecture practice as the founder of
Siegal-Tuomaala Associates, retiring only
months before his death.
Mr. Siegal was an active member of
Adat Shalom Synagogue, serving in many
leadership positions. He was also a fixture
at the JCC Health Club for more than
60 years. Well into his 70s, he ran circles
around guys half his age.
His towering intellect and uncompro-
mising integrity earned the respect and
admiration of everyone who knew him.
He died exactly like he lived: fully in con-
trol and on his own terms. He spent his
last days comfortably in the home that he
designed and built. He was surrounded by
his family and profoundly grateful for his
many blessings.
Mr. Siegal is survived by his beloved
wife Bluma (Sussman); his sons and
daughters-in-law, Allen Siegal, Barry
and Batya Siegal, Eric Siegal and Jeanne
Howard, David and Sara Siegal; his grand-
children, Ariel and Laura Siegal, Liran
Siegal, Julia Siegal and Aaron Siegal; his
great-grandson, Boaz. They all loved him
deeply and will miss him terribly.
Interment was at Clover Hill Park

ELIZABETH SPICKLER, 64, of
Southfield, died Nov. 25, 2017.
She is survived by her dear sisters,
Carol (Howard) Boigon and Cathy (Giora)
Singer; devoted nieces and nephews, Jared
(Kimberly) Boigon, Hannah Boigon, Maya
Singer, Michael Singer and Marlene Tyner
Valencourt; aunt, Rita Spickler Rubin;
uncle, Philip (Julie) Spickler; two great-
nieces; childhood friend, Judith Shlom
Levitz; many loving cousins, other family
members and friends.
Ms. Spickler was the beloved daugh-
ter of the late Milton and the late Ada
Spickler.

RICHARD TUCKER, 65,
of Commerce Township,
died Nov. 19, 2017.
He was a volunteer
with Team Farmington
for Special Olympics.
Mr. Tucker is survived
by his brother, Robert
Tucker
Tucker of Commerce
Township; sister,
Jane Tucker, also of
Commerce Township; cousins and many
good friends, including Neal and Ardele
Wolfson and many others.
He was the loving son of the late
Florence and the late William Tucker.
