CAROLE M. AUSLANDER, 61, of
Southfield, died Nov. 13, 2017.
Mrs. Auslander was the beloved
wife of the late Robert Auslander.
She is survived by her daugh-
ter, Michelle Auslander; Robert’s
daughter and son and her step-
children, Beth Auslander and Daniel
Auslander; brother and sister-in-
law, Michael and Helene Cohen;
sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Dr.
“Didi” Cohen-Colton and Richard
Colton; nieces and nephews, Justin
and Jayme, Kristie, Adam and Abby;
great-niece and great-nephew, Lily
and Caleb. She is also survived by
many special cousins, family and
friends.
Mrs. Auslander was the loving
sister of the late Gary Cohen and the
devoted daughter of the late Allan
and the late Laura Cohen.
Interment was at Beth Tefilo
Emanuel Cemetery. Contributions

MARILYN YVETTE
BORKIN (née
Fealk), 88, passed
away in Old
Tappan, N.J., on
Nov. 13, 2017.
Born in Detroit
on May 19, 1929,
Borkin
to David and Ida
Fealk, Marilyn grad-
uated from Central
High School and
attended the University of Michigan
in Ann Arbor ,where she studied
French.
Marilyn married Albert M. Borkin
on Nov. 23, 1948, and they shared
an adventurous and loving life
together until his death in 2006.
While residing in Huntington Woods
and Hollywood, Fla., Marilyn and Al
enjoyed boating, scuba diving and
traveling the globe. They imparted
their sense of exploration onto their
children and grandchildren. While
raising her family, Marilyn taught
Hebrew school at Temple Israel
for 25 years and later worked as a
licensed practical nurse.
She will always be remembered
for her sense of humor, style and
devotion to those closest to her.
Marilyn delighted in the accomplish-
ments of her children and grandchil-
dren. She is survived by sons, Mark
(Holly), and Sheldon (Sandy); daugh-
ter, Bonnie; four grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren; numerous
nieces and nephews.
She is pre-deceased by her older
brother, Louis K. Fealk, whom she
admired and adored.
A graveside service was held
11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16, at
Montefiore Cemetery, 121-83
Springfield Boulevard, Springfield
Gardens, Queens, N.Y.
Shivah will be observed at the
family residence in Westwood, N.J.,
following the service, and on Friday
and Sunday afternoons.
BERNICE
BRODSKY, 92, of
Orchard Lake, died
Nov. 16, 2017.

She was the beloved wife of the
late Nathan Brodsky, and the dear
mother-in-law of the late Nancy
Brodsky.
Private family services were
held at Machpelah Cemetery.

died Nov. 12, 2017.
He is survived by

Francine) Chaiken,
Dennis and Julie Chaiken; sister,
Cynthia; also survived by many lov-
ing nieces, nephews, other family
members and friends.
Kenneth was the dear son of the
late Irving and the late Dorothy
Chaiken.
Services were held in Florida.
