He will be joined in celebration by his proud parents and sister Bailey. Chase is the loving grandchild of Gretchen and the late Dr. William Roubeck, and Susan and Donald Buist. Elizabeth earned a B.A. in linguistics at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and an M.A. in speech and lan- guage pathology at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti. She is employed at Psygenics Inc. in Detroit, where she works as a speech and language pathologist. Joshua earned a B.A. in political science at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and a J.D. at Wayne State University Law School in Detroit. He is employed at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in Detroit, where he clerks for a federal judge. A January wedding is planned at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. • iza Renee Shiffman, daughter of Irv and Marla Shiffman of West Bloomfield, and Brenner Casey Sandberg, son of Jon and Joanna Sandberg of Excelsior, Minn., and the late Julie Casey, were recently married on the North Shore off Lake Superior in Two Harbors, Minn. The ceremony took place under a chuppah with a cover made from the wedding gown worn by Liza’s mother and grandmother, combined with a piece of fabric from appar- el worn by Brenner’s mother, making a beautiful family heirloom. Rabbi Alan Shavit-Lonstein officiated. The newlyweds reside in a suburb of Minneapolis, where Brenner is employed at Tilt-Lock as a design engineer and Liza is employed at the headquarters for Life Time as a senior finance manager, while pursuing her MBA.
