Hadassah Greater Detroit held its successful annual Opening Meeting
last month, with 600 women (and a few men) enjoying boutiques, a
lovely luncheon and a raffle with many wonderful gifts. Paul Gaspari, a
multiple sclerosis patient, spoke about how Hadassah Hospital saved
his life, taking him from extreme disability to being able to live a mostly
normal and happy life.
The highlight was comedian Rita Rudner who entertained the audi-
ence with much laughter and jokes. Carol Ogusky, Hadassah Greater
Detroit president, spoke along with the two chairs of the event, Sandy
Gruca and Bobbie Lewis. •
