Lindsay Elle Berke
will be called to the
Torah as a bat mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Nov. 11, at
Congregation
Shaarey Zedek in
Southfield. She is
the daughter of
Berke
Alisa Berke and
Mark Berke and sis-
ter of Ryan. Her proud grandparents
are Joanne and Stuart Bas, and
Susan Berke. Her proud great-grand-
mother is Gerry Felder. She is also
the granddaughter of the late
Rosalyn and the late Michael Berke.
Lindsay is a student at Warner
Middle School in Farmington Hills.
As one part of her mitzvah experi-
ence, she volunteered at Temple Beth
El nursery school, helping and facili-
tating activities for young children.

Jeffrey Benjamin
Elias will lead the
congregation in
prayer as he
becomes a bar
mitzvah at Temple
Israel in West
Bloomfield on
Elias
Saturday, Nov. 11.
He will be joined in
celebration by his
proud parents, Deborah and David
Elias, and brother Steven. Jeffrey is
the loving grandchild of Carol and
the late Rabbi Jonathon Plaut, the
late Marlene and the late Hanley
Elias.
He is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
As part of his mitzvah project,
Jeffrey packaged food for seniors
and sick children for Rosh Hashanah
with the Jewish Federation. He
found this to be the most rewarding
of his many mitzvah experiences.

Friday, Nov. 10. He
is the loving son of

Ilyse and Aaron Fox
and brother of
Sean. Sharing in his celebration will
be his proud grandparents Annie
and Gary Weiss, Ellyn Ann Fox. and
Harvey Forman and Michelle Fox.
He is a student at Orchard Lake
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
As part of his bar mitzvah project,
Jared organized a can and toy drive
to support the Children’s Leukemia
Foundation as the most meaningful
of his many mitzvah experiences.

grandson of Elaine and Dr. Frank
Roth, Dr. Steven and the late Brenda
Glickman, and the great-grandchild
of Martha Glickman.
He is a student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. As part
of his most meaningful mitzvah
experience, Ben prepared gift bags
for children at C.S. Mott Children’s
Hospital.

Sophia Margaret
Guralnick of
Farmington Hills
became a bat mitz-
vah on Saturday,
Oct. 28, at Temple
Shir Shalom in
West Bloomfield.
She is the daughter
Guralnick
of David and Susan
Guralnick and sis-
ter to Charlie. She is the grand-
daughter of the late Dr. Robert Tam
and Elizabeth Tam, and the late
Steven Guralnick and Kathryn
Guralnick.
Sophia attends Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. For her
mitzvah project, she participated
in PeerCorps, tutoring children
enrolled in the Mission City after-
school program.

Howard
Saturday, Nov.
11. He will be
joined in celebration by his sisters
Amanda and Gillian and grandpar-
ents Charlene and Arthur Howard,
and Leslie Gladstone.
Charles is a student at Bloomfield
Hills Middle School. For his most
meaningful mitzvah project, he dis-
tributed food at Lighthouse Path,
where he also donated tzedekah
and participated in their Walk for
Hunger fundraiser.
