She attends Hillel Day School of
Metropolitan Detroit in Farmington
Hills. After visiting Israel over the
summer, Skylar decided to raise
funds for the Jezreel Valley Center
for the Arts, located in Detroit’s part-
nership region. This center special-
izes in music and dance study and
performance. Skylar found this to be
the most meaningful of her mitzvah
experiences.

Max is in the eighth grade at Hillel

a bar mitzvah

Congregation

Bloomfield. Joining
Ellenbogen
in his celebration
will be his parents,
Aaron and Jennifer
Ellenbogen, his brother Jacob and
sister Laura, and proud grandpar-
ents Richard and Gail Ellenbogen of
Austin, Texas, and Robert and Judee
Sternberg of West Bloomfield.
Henry is an eighth-grader at Hillel
Day School of Metropolitan Detroit
in Farmington Hills. His favorite
mitzvah project was volunteering as
a goalie coach for U8 hockey.

she volunteered at ORT’s Wingo and
Camp Hermelin fundraisers, which
support educational programs for at-
risk youth.
