Ajani Rowan

ed his bar mitzvah
at the Birmingham
Temple in
Farmington Hills
on Saturday, Oct. 7.
Ajani is the son of
DeFreece
Alfred DeFreece Jr.
and Amanda
Rosman and broth-
er of Alasia Destine-DeFreece and
Anora DeFreece. He is the grandson
of Alfred Sr. and Theresa DeFreece,
Robert and Carolyn Rosman, Dessa
Stone and Jack Kobliska.
Ajani is an eighth-grader at the
James and Grace Lee Boggs School
in Detroit. For his bar mitzvah
project, he gathered soccer equip-
ment for Middle Eastern and North
African refugees detained in Samos,
Greece.

He will be joined in

Reed. Justin is the loving grandchild
of Audrey and the late Lawrence
Edelheit, and Alicia and Jerry
Aronoff.
Justin is a student at Abbott
Middle School in West Bloomfield.
For his most meaningful mitzvah
project, he helped combat food
insecurity in our community by vol-
unteering at the Temple Israel Free
Fresh Food Pantry.

Dedicated to the academic and social success of 6th-12th
grade students with language-based learning differences,
including autism, anxiety disorders, and attention defi cits.

He is a student at Warner Middle
School in Farmington Hills. Jordan,
an animal lover, raised funds for
donation to the Humane Society as
the most meaningful of his many
mitzvah experiences.

Eli Goldin Foltyn and Evan Goldin
Foltyn, sons of Elyse and David
Foltyn, will become b’nai mitzvah at
Temple Beth El in Bloomfield
Township on Saturday, Oct. 19. They
are the brothers of Abby, Lily,
Lindsay, Mara and Molly.
Eli is named after his paternal
grandmother and Holocaust survi-
vor Ella Foltyn. Evan is named after
his great-uncle Ephraim Goldin, who
died during the Holocaust.
Both boys are seventh-graders
at Cranbrook Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills. For their mitzvah
project, the boys served food to the
homeless and assisted with urban
farming.

He is the loving son
of Barbara and Ira
Goldberg and brother of Spencer
and Dylan. Joining in his celebration
will be his proud grandparents Carol
and Edward Goldberg of Livingston,
N. J., and Kathleen Kanners.
He is a student at Derby Middle
School in Birmingham. As part of his
mitzvah project, Zachary organized
a fundraiser project for FIDF to help
support the men and women in
the Israel Defense Forces. This was
especially meaningful as Zachary’s
brother is serving in the IDF.
