Caroline Bern Gimple will lead the congregation in prayer as she becomes a bat mitzvah at Temple Israel in West Bloomfield on Gimple Friday, Oct. 6. Joining in her cel- ebration will be her proud parents, Shannon and David Gimple, and brother Alexander. Caroline is the loving grandchild of Bonita and Ronald Gimple, Teresa and Dennis Munczenski, and Donna Verde. She is a student at Clifford Smart Middle School in Commerce Township. He Kohn is the loving son of Leslee and Dr. Mark Kohn and brother of Melanie, Brianna, Hannah and Lacey. Noah is the grandchild of Phyllis and the late Alan Kohn, the late Roselyn and Isaac Benaim, and the late Martin Sherman. He is a student at Sarah Banks Middle School in Wixom. Noah spent time visiting with the seniors and performing magic shows at the Fleischman Residence in West Bloomfield as part of his mitzvah project. He found interacting with the residents to be the most mean- ingful of his many mitzvah experi- ences. They celebrated their special day with many small gatherings of family and friends. Gavin is the loving grandson of Bruce and Barbara Goldstein, Rick and Sue Enos, and Dennis and Johnna Langwell. He is a student at West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. Gavin’s most meaningful mitzvah project was volunteering at the Oakland County Animal Shelter, where he cared for dogs and cats. He also raised money for the shelter by collecting cans. Libby Neuvirth (Noah Irit) of Bloomfield Hills will become a bat mitzvah at Temple Shir Shalom in West Bloomfield on Oct. 7. Parents, Jill and Dennis Neuvirth Neuvirth, and big brother Ethan are thrilled to celebrate with her. For her mitz- vah project, she is working with the Bottomless Toy Chest of Birmingham, a nonprofit orga- nization devoted to delivering art projects, crafts and games to hospitalized pediatric cancer patients. Jack Oscar Pollack, son of Nicole and Jimmy Pollack, will lead the congregation in prayer as he becomes a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 7, at Pollack Temple Israel in West Bloomfield. He will be joined in celebration by his siblings, Sammy, Dylan and Levi, and proud grandparents Brenda Kaplan, Del and David Kaplan, and Joanna and Robert Pollack. He is the great-grandchild of the late Gertrude and Seymour Kaplan, the late Jeanette and Sam Moskowitz, the late Irene and Oscar Bean, and the late Lorraine and Alvin Pollack. Jack attends West Hills Middle School in Bloomfield Hills. For his most meaningful mitzvah project, he volunteered throughout the year with PeerCorps Detroit, cleaning up parks, gardening and working with younger children in Detroit.
