Caroline is the loving grandchild of
Bonita and Ronald Gimple, Teresa
and Dennis Munczenski, and Donna
Verde.
She is a student at Clifford
Smart Middle School in Commerce
Township. Among her many mitzvah
experiences, Caroline felt that her
donation to Colel Chabad to provide
High Holiday meals to needy fami-
lies was the most meaningful.

Middle School in Commerce
Township. As her most meaningful
mitzvah project, she assisted in the
care of the animals at her child-
hood camp, Turtle Creek Farm, and
donated tzedekah to the farm to
help provide food and necessities for
the animals.

Phyllis and the late Alan Kohn, the
late Roselyn and Isaac Benaim, and

He is a student at Sarah Banks
Middle School in Wixom. Noah
spent time visiting with the seniors
and performing magic shows at
the Fleischman Residence in West
Bloomfield as part of his mitzvah
project. He found interacting with
the residents to be the most mean-
ingful of his many mitzvah experi-
ences.

Schneider 60th

P

aul and Phyllis Schneider
of West Bloomfield com-
memorated their 60th wed-
ding anniversary on Aug. 24. They
celebrated their special day with
many small gatherings of family
and friends. They are the beloved
parents of Marci and Andy
Klein, Janet Schneider and Andy
Kahn, and Steven and Michelle
Schneider. They are also the dedi-
cated papa and granny of Sofia
and Julia Klein, Lucy and Aaron
Kahn, and Melissa and Erica
Schneider. They are amazing role models showing the love and devotion it
takes to sustain 60 years of marriage. •

Davis. Gavin is the loving grandson
of Bruce and Barbara Goldstein,
Rick and Sue Enos, and Dennis and
Johnna Langwell.
He is a student at West Hills
Middle School in Bloomfield Hills.
Gavin’s most meaningful mitzvah
project was volunteering at the
Oakland County Animal Shelter,
where he cared for dogs and cats. He
also raised money for the shelter by
collecting cans.

Harvey Altman of Edgewater, N.J.,

Hills. She is also the granddaughter
of the late Ernie Neuvirth.

Middle School. For her mitz-
vah project, she is working with
the Bottomless Toy Chest of
Birmingham, a nonprofit orga-
nization devoted to delivering
art projects, crafts and games
to hospitalized pediatric cancer
patients. Anyone wishing to help
her support this cause can drop off
new unwrapped toys and crafts at
Temple Shir Shalom.

Nicole and Jimmy
Pollack, will lead

becomes a bar
mitzvah on
Saturday, Oct. 7, at
Pollack
Temple Israel in
West Bloomfield.
He will be joined in celebration by
his siblings, Sammy, Dylan and Levi,
and proud grandparents Brenda
Kaplan, Del and David Kaplan, and
Joanna and Robert Pollack. He is the
great-grandchild of the late
Gertrude and Seymour Kaplan, the
late Jeanette and Sam Moskowitz,
the late Irene and Oscar Bean, and
the late Lorraine and Alvin Pollack.
Jack attends West Hills Middle
School in Bloomfield Hills. For his
most meaningful mitzvah project,
he volunteered throughout the year
with PeerCorps Detroit, cleaning
up parks, gardening and working
with younger children in Detroit. He
also volunteered at a special clean-
up project in which an abandoned
home was torn down and helped to
serve food to the 150 volunteers.
