The agency recognized Barbara Kratchman as Community Volunteer of the Year, Kroger Co. of Michigan as Community Partner of the Year, Malik Burch as Client Volunteer and Tiffany Lee as Employee of the Year. Kadima’s leadership spoke about the agency’s services and vision for the future. Kadima President Evan Leibhan installed seven new board members. “This was the largest board installation for the agency in recent history and is a sign of our continued growth and the community’s greater under- standing of the work we do,” says Eric Adelman, executive director. “This is an exciting time for Kadima. Our programs and partnerships continue to evolve, while new volunteers continue to come on board to support indi- viduals with chronic mental health challenges in our community.” • Jewish National Fund DETROIT COMMUNITY RECEPTION Wednesday, October 25th, 2017 7:00 pm Registration ∙ 7:30 pm Program Adat Shalom Synagogue 29901 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills, MI Kadima Executive Director Eric Adelman, center, with awardees Barbara Kratchman, Rachel Hurst of Kroger Co. of Michigan, Tiffany Lee and Malik Burch RSVP by October 18, 2017 at jnf.org/detroit “The Fifty Best Jewish Jokes and What They Show About the Jews” FEATURING GUEST SPEAKER Rabbi Joseph Telushkin Lisa Rothberger and Suzanne Zwiren, both of Bloomfield Hills, and Katie Leibhan of Birmingham No cost to attend · Dessert reception following program Dietary laws observed In partnership with jnf.org · 800.JNF.0099 Rick and Julie Zussman of Huntington Woods; Rick is a past president of Kadima. 32 October 5 • 2017 jn Whitney and Chad Techner of West Bloomfield
