Lynn became a leader at an early age and remained an example to follow for her siblings and children. She went on to epitomize the word, “supermom” first, as a 35-year-old Michigan State University student, and later as a com- munications professional for both the Michigan attorney general and Department of Treasury. Lynn’s generous spirit and unbridled enthusiasm extended to those beyond her family, too. She nurtured lifelong friends and everyday acquaintances, always putting their needs ahead of her own. A lover of life, laughter and family, Lynn was surrounded by the enduring love of her husband of 49 years, Ronald K. Rycus; and her children, BJ (Jill) Rycus, and Jeremy (Deb) Rycus. She is also survived by siblings, Teri (Steve) Barkin and Donny (Bonnie) Kerner; grandchildren, Isabelle Rycus, Max Rycus and Leo Rycus. STEVEN SILK, 59, of Waterford, died Sept. 20, 2017. He was the owner of the Velmeir Companies in West Bloomfield. Mr. Silk is survived by his wife, Donna Silk Silk; sons, Ethan Silk and Elliot Silk; mother, Ayala Jedwab; brother, Elan “Al” Jedwab; father-in-law and mother-in-law, William and Geri Schwanger. He will be lovingly remembered by colleagues and friends. He was the adored son of the late Meir Jedwab. Interment was at Adat Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery.
