ASSISTED LIVING I MEMORY CARE
places
Tamarack Camps hosted its first “Mosquito Event,” a take-off on the
popular Moth storytelling competitions started by NPR. The idea to host
a storytelling event centered around camp memories came from the
organization’s Alumni Committee. What better way to engage alums
than to host an event where they can tell their stories?
About 75 people attended. Key storytellers, ranging in age from 30 to
86, were Josh Lefkowitz, Marv Berman, Eddie Berger, Kate Bush and
Jenifer Strauss, with Lee Trepeck as the emcee. The topics ranged from
boyhood to love to perseverance. •
