Mrs. Michaels was the beloved wife
of the late Harold Michaels.

DR. MAXWELL L.
NADIS, 96, of
Commerce
Township, died Sept.
16, 2017.
A World War II
veteran, he marched
across France and
Nadis
was part of the
reconnaissance.
Mr. Nadis was a
teacher and administrator for more
than 38 years with the Detroit Public
Schools and was loved by his stu-
dents. He was also very active with
Congregation Beth Ahm, where he
was head of adult education. He also
participated as a board member and
as part of the choir, and he sang with
the Master Singers. His world revolved
around his family and his shul.
Dr. Nadis is survived by his wife
of 66 years, Sara Nadis; sons and
daughters-in-law, Daniel Nadis and
Sally Zanger of New Haven, Conn.,
Ronn and Beth Nadis of Farmington
Hills; daughter, Deborah Rubyan
of West Bloomfield; sister, Margie
Davis; grandchildren, Dr. Lynn and
Rabbi Alex Kaye, Joseph and Becky
Nadis, Maya Nadis, Michael Rubyan,
Esther Rubyan, Emily and Randy
Silver, Rebecca Nadis, Ben Nadis;
great-grandchildren, Harvey Nadis,
Julia Nadis; brother-in-law and sister-
in-law, Itzchak Tanchum and Esther
Tolkovsky; many nieces, nephews,

He was the loving son of the late
Belle and the late Ben Nadis.
