Football season is here, and Detroit
Wing Co., located on East 9 Mile
Road in Eastpointe, is sharing its list
of “must-haves” to load up on for
every kind of tail-gate party.
Known for offering 16 original
homemade sauces for their classic
wings, boneless wings and chicken
tenders, Detroit Wing Co. has a
flavor for everyone — with sauce
flavors ranging from mild and spicy
to extra hot, with several guest
favorites including creole parme-
san, honey chipotle, whiskey BBQ
and a classic buffalo sauce. Other
house-made menu items include

mac n’ cheese, poutine (the gravy
alone takes over 28 hours to make!),
coleslaw, cornbread muffins and an
incredible cheesecake.
Owner Gus Malliaras recom-
mends classic bone-in wings for tail-
gating. “A pile of bones and empty
beer cans is generally a sign of a
successful football party!” he says.
“Pair these classic wings with the
either the classic buffalo or sweet
heat sauces, which fit the hot wing
profile and pair perfectly with an
ice-cold beer.”
