jews d & in the faces places The annual Sherrill Berman Shofar Factory was held Sept. 10 at the Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield. Families came to make shofars, which were decorated and polished, and to enjoy activities that ranged from arts and crafts projects to a petting zoo and camel rides. Once again, the event helped families get in the spirit for the upcoming holidays. The event was sponsored by the Sherrill Berman Children’s Art Education Fund in partnership with the Bais Chabad Torah Center in West Bloomfield, Shalom Street, the Janice Charach Gallery, the JCC and its Pitt Child Development Center, the PJ Library and the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit . • PHOTOS BY JESSICAL POLK Look for a video of the fun at the Shofar Factory at thejewishnews.com.
