The annual Sherrill Berman Shofar Factory was held Sept. 10 at the
Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield. Families came to make
shofars, which were decorated and polished, and to enjoy activities that
ranged from arts and crafts projects to a petting zoo and camel rides.
Once again, the event helped families get in the spirit for the upcoming
holidays.
The event was sponsored by the Sherrill Berman Children’s Art
Education Fund in partnership with the Bais Chabad Torah Center in West
Bloomfield, Shalom Street, the Janice Charach Gallery, the JCC and its
Pitt Child Development Center, the PJ Library and the Jewish Federation
of Metropolitan Detroit . •
