ORT’s annual Rub-a-Dub fundraiser Aug. 15 at Franklin Hills Country
Club in Franklin drew 400 attendees and raised nearly $515,000 for ORT
education programs. A special on-site appeal raised $31,000 toward the
renovation of an auditorium at Kfar Hassidim Youth Village in Israel.
Named a top high school in Israel for 2017, Kfar Hassidim is a major
recipient of ORT Michigan Region funds.
The lively, festive evening included both silent and live auctions as well
as musical entertainment and a grilled dinner outside on the patio.
Co-chairs were Jason Brooks, Scott Marcus and Mark Tapper. •
