Step into Johnny Manhattan’s nightclub
and be transported to New York, 1958,
when clubs like the Copacabana and
the Latin Quarter were filled with
socialites and showgirls. Making its
world premiere at the Meadow Brook
Theatre in Rochester before it heads
to Broadway, Johnny Manhattan
stars Jim Ballard (shown) and
Jana Robbins, who participated in the

MELTON JEWISH LEARNING
Week of Sept. 11. Developed at
Hebrew University in Jerusalem, the
Melton School is for adults from all
backgrounds and denominations.
Biblical and contemporary texts are
utilized to connect the Jewish past
to the present. Starting the week
of Sept. 14 through June, Melton
classes will meet two hours weekly,
30 weeks a year, over two years.
Choose: 12:45-3 pm Wednesdays
at Adat Shalom Synagogue,
Farmington Hills; 9:30-11:45 am
Thursdays at West Bloomfield JCC;
or 6:45-9 pm Thursdays at Temple
